More Than...

Plus que... "More than" in french. More than my 50 in 50 (50 things I want to do or have done before I turn 50). More than my adventures in cooking. More than being a work from home wife. More than anything else I have ever done.

My 50 in 50

When my husband was about to turn 50 a few years ago, I asked him if there was anything special he wanted to do to mark the occasion or any place special he wanted to go. (You know...like jumping out of an airplane or climbing Mount Everest. Although why anyone would want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane is beyond me.) Anyway, his response was that he had no secret wishes or desires with which to mark that mile stone. I had plans of my own but that is another post.

Fast forward to last December. Shortly after my 47th birthday it hit me that in a few years I too would be turning the big "five oh". As I began to think about what I might want to do or where I might like to go to usher in the next 50 years of my life, a flood of memories started about all the wonderful things, big and small, that I have already done.

So began my decision to make my "50 in 50" list - 50 things I have done or want to do before I turn 50. I have shared this concept, and my list, with most of my close friends. They all laughed at first, then said it was a great idea. I don't think any of them have started their own lists yet but maybe this will encourage someone to try.

So this, then, is the introduction to my "50 in 50" list. Posts here relating to items on this list will be tagged "50 in 50". Enjoy! (And post links to your "50 in 50" in the comments.)

Great concept! Looking forward to seeing your list revealed. I'm glad you're blogging, we need someone to raise the bar in the blogging world.

I just sent Mary the link and she will comment soon, I'm sure. She is beyond tired at the moment, I am too honestly, but wanted to get this comment in.

Welcome!
